Lauren has been dancing for 24 years and has
received extensive training from some of the most talented and well-known professionals in the business. As a competitive dancer for 18 years, Lauren won hundreds of top 10, high
point, platinum medals, scholarships and distinctive performer awards. She has been awarded numerous regional and national titles and runner up titles such as Miss Nexstar, Miss Danceforce, Miss
Superstar, Miss Odyssey, Miss Starpower, Miss Showbiz, Miss Hall of Fame, NCA Best Dancer and more. Lauren has had the good fortune to have danced nationally with MC Hammer, Debbie
Allen, Wade Robson, Mia Michaels, LeAnn Rhimes, Creed, Beyonce, and Toby Keith.
Lauren received her
Bachelor of Science degree at the University of North Texas, where was she was a member of the University of North Texas Dancers. Her team competed in the National Dance Alliance, collegiate dance
Championships in Daytona Beach, FL.
All though Lauren has
always loved to dance, she loves teaching and creating choreography even more! She began teaching at a very young age and she is very proud of her student’s
accomplishments.
Her students and
choreography have placed in the top 5 high point category in each competition they have attended. The accomplishments Lauren is most proud of are her multiple choreography and performance awards.
These are given out at dance competitions in very small quantities to outstanding teacher/choreographers. She recently received the 2009 FDC Judges Choice Award for choreography of an acapella tap
number. This award is chosen by the judges and given to the top dance out of an entire competition. To receive this award at such a young age is an honor she considers her greatest accomplishment
yet.
When Lauren is not
working with her own students, she choreographs for local high school drill teams and public events. Lauren continues her dance education by attending conferences such as the "Dance Teachers Summit"
in New York City. She learned the latest dance techniques and styles in seminars and workshops led by top master teachers. Plus, the seminar offered studio management updates including the latest
information technology and current products and services from worldwide vendors.
In addition to dance,
Lauren loves cheer and tumbling. In 2008 she won the title of "World Champion" while competing with her Cheer Athletics team in Orlando, Florida. Lauren’s team competed against teams from Scotland,
Mexico, England, China, Japan
